I am doing my family history of the evans side...and I have a marriage certificate of my ggrandfather ....it say,s at the time of marriage he resided at ...PENTRE-YSTRAD..in glamorganshire....what is and where about exactly is pentre ...ystrad ..

Pentre and Ystrad are two ex-coal mining comunities (but they're next to each other) in the Rhondda Fawr Valley, past Pontypridd.
