  1. like 100 grand

  2. You need to buy this through a local agent, who's licensed to sell insurance in your state.  There are several companies that will write insurance on a hobby farm, but it's heavily dependent on loss history, and what exact kind of farming you do (raising rotties won't qualify you, LOL).

Also, for a hobby farm, the ONLY acceptable business activities would be like a produce stand.

YOUR LOCAL AGENT can find a company.  But if you insist on a referral from me, Donegal Mutual has a nifty little farm policy that I like.  They're a regional carrier, so they might not even write in your state, but that's MY recommendation.

  3. don,t  know any think  about  it -- sorry .

  4. A hobby farm?  Is it a business?  If business, you want commercial insurance, and farm liability.  If its just private, you want to insure the buildings on the property and equipment and also get farm liability.  Cost?  Depends on what you want insured.  Talk to a local agent-one who specializes in farm and ranch insurance.
