  1. Be more specific, what part of the caribbean, Puerto Rico? maybe Martinique or Jamaica ?

  2. You purchased jewelry in St Martin and you got ripped off?

Was the store GIA Certified? Do you have any paper work on your purchase. How do you know you were cheated?

Can you spare any more details? Sorry, for the questions, I would love to help you but I'm not sure what your question is.)

    Edit:

Can you work with the store, by that I mean can you return the ring and get your money back. Let's see if I have this straight, they charged you $2,500 more than what it's worth? Or they said it was worth more than what you paid for it and then they sent you the appraisal and it wasn't worth more than what you paid for the ring? What you paid, you got? They lied about being worth more.

It's their word against your word, since now they sent you a correct appraisal.

Hmmm, do you want your money back or do you want to pay less? I guess you want to report them. If that's what you want I would report them to the business association in St Martin. Chamber of Commerce. I would also report them to the SXM Tourist Board.

Hopefully, you put this purchase on a credit card. I would call the credit card and put a stop on the payment. Even if you paid it, they will charge back the the jewelry store and give you credit.

    Good Luck.
