Question:

Is there anyone I can consult about hospital misbehavior?

Hospital forgot to bill me and now they sent me to collection. Their system shows that they never sent me a bill/statement. They refuse to send me a letter saying that they mistakenly sent me to collection. The only thing they would do is send me a letter saying that it will not hurt my credit anyway after I pay the bill... they keep saying that I should have paid when I received EOB, which is not a bill. I can't trust these people..... Is there any place (government of organization) that I can consult for their misbehavior? and make them send me the letter I need?

  1. first start with the hospital administration's highest supervisor. you may get run around a bit, but be determined and you will succeed. this is so like hospitals to do this c**p. i got one like this only it's an ambulance company. never got a bill, just a collection notice. got it last week - the bill is from 1997! if you get no satisfaction (hey a song!) then find out who the board of directors are, go one by one til you get something. you can always to the medical association, or the better business bureau. worse comes to worse, write the county supervisor in your area. they will know exactly who you should contact and may even contact people for you. good luck
