Is there anyone else on the left, like me, that isn't drinking the Green Kool-aid?

Like this We campaign that is demanding 100% clean energy in 10 years. Like we could even physically have the plants put up that fast, let alone afford it... well maybe if they consider Nuclear clean (I do).

Or Ecocredits. This is where you pay a company, or "organization", to plant trees to counter your "carbon foot print", like they have an exact science for this and can give exact numbers (they can't and they don't). I think the reality is they just make arbitrary numbers and reap the income.

Or climate change in general. In the 70's every eco-nuts were screaming 2nd ice age, now it's warming. The fact is that sunlight has been the only significant factor in temperature. Not to mention that humans only contribute 4% of carbon gasses on Earth.

Or recycling... It is more expensive, takes more energy, and makes more carbon gasses to recycle then to make most material from scratch. The only benefit is it save on landfill, which there is no crisis for and modern landfills can be converted to usable land in a decade.

And finally that hypocrite Al Gore who has been laughing all the way to the bank while being made into a saint...

The first time I heard about the carbon credits, I seriously thought it was a joke. Then I was, "ummmm, really now? you have got to be kidding me."

The problem with the ecomaniacs is most of them just wanted a "platform" to be passionate about, and it was the logical choice. After all, you can run around screaming about the disparities to come without ever having to back it up with a single fact. (courtesy of Al Gore lol) You are right, recycling is a problem.  I still praise the day he didn't make it to the white house as CIC.
