  1. i LOVE the classic

  2. Classics are great. Lites are great too. the pros and cons sort of even out. Lites are smaller and brighter. Classics are more durable and a little better buttons...so its really whatever you would prefer.

I would prefer smaller and a brighter screen. i got a nice case for it so when I'm not playing i just put my ds in the case and it will be fine. Screen protectors are a great buy too.

To those of you with scratches or problems with your lite, all i can say is take better care of it! I've had mine for 2 years and its perfectly fine.

  3. The original DS sucks!!! it's bulky and crappy...I hate it...

  4. I got my classic when it first came out and to this day it still has no problems (scratches, etc) and IMO DS lites are easier to break/damage, my friend dropped his DS accidentally and now his has a big scratch on the touch screen and its very noticable.

  5. I agree. My DS Lite got a huge scrtach on the screen after less than a week. Almost 4 years in, my DS classic's screens are fine. Far from retty, but no game-breaking scratches. Also, the buttons are just so much more responsive on the old DS.

  6. I still have my original DS because the DS Lite is **** for two reasons:

    1) The DS Lite is just added bells and whistles (same product; at least two features changed/added [DS Lite: Smaller than Original and #2])

    2) The DS Lite's power button is on the side. What if you are walking down the street, with DS Lite in pocket, and it turns on automatically without you knowing it? What do you do? The original DS's power button is inside the fold.

This is just like the Game Boy Advance/GBASP/Game Boy Micro situation.

The Game Boy Advance SP is the folded and lit version of the Game Boy Advance and WTF is up with the Game Boy Micro? that thing is half the size (literally) of the Game Boy Advance. you are going to hurt your eyes with that tiny little thing.
