  1. Think Oktoberfest - the original Oktoberfest - Lederhosen and Dirndl dresses, and that will be Munich, Muenchen or with the two dots over the "u" which I can't recreate with my laptop, and that will be the right place, capital of Bavaria, over 1 million people and just 20 minutes from the Alps and Garmisch.  I grew up near it, been to it a few times, but now live in Stuttgart.

  2. The city of München (note the umlaut, that's probably why you did not find it) is called Munich in English. It is the third biggest city in Germany.

  3. Yes me. Muenchen is in Germany in the state of Bavaria. If you want to know about Germany why are you not looking "google" maps.... you can see where the cities are located.

  10. 80333 is the postal code (zip) für München (Munich).  Munich's official website is http://www.muenchen.de - when you click at the British flag, you'll also get their infos in English language.

For more, go to http://www.germany-tourism.de - also in English language!  Another good website is http://www.cometogermany.com/

And a map of Germany is available at: http://webserver.bkg.bund.de/kartographi...

If you need more information, you also should go to your local library and try to get some good tourist guides for Germany, or check the Internet! ;-)

    Greetings from Germany!

PS: Go go http://www.google.de (Google Germany) and enter "Germany"+"tourism" or German city names! ;-)

  11. I am from North Carolina but I lived in southern Germany for six years. I traveled the country extensively and enjoyed even more. In 2000 I returned to the USA and have visited at once a year ever since. Love the country, the people, culture, travel, food and I still have numerous friends there and quite a few of them come to visit me to experience America.
