Is there anyone here who is sicilian and knows what Arbereshe is? They are a greek group who excaped to sicily

They where mostly albainian .but there where a lot of greeks in alabania too they dispersed to diffrent parts of the world...one place was italy .. here is a wike page tells you alittle about them..hopes it helps

Arbereshe are Arvanites and their origin is disputed. In Greece Arvanites feel Greek and self-identify as Greeks. They might get offended if you call them Albanians. In Italy Arbereshe have Albanian national conscience. This happened also because of the later migrations of Albanians from Albania in Italy.
