a Republican or a Democrat? Or that God favors one baseball team over another on any given day? It seems to me that this idea of God preferring one group over another trivializes the idea of God. Doesn't God have more important things to do than that?

  1. Daniel 2:44, 45 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.  Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Daniel 5:18-21 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:  And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.  But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:  And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high "God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will."

  2. I honestly don't think god cares.

  3. No. God does not have anything else important to do.  Who cares about Dafar? Tibet? Hurricanes?   And those whiney victims of assault.

No, God is really bored.   Actually, he probably is pretty bored since he said that we were given our own free will, and he was going to stay out of EVERYTHING.   It is so sad to see people praying for God to be on their sides, as if the other side didn't do the same thing.

  4. God favors the New York Yankees, duh.

It's in the Bible, Leviticus 14:72

  5. The only side that God takes is neither Republican, nor Democrat.

He is bi-partisan, working always towards His plans for us.

God's side is the side He takes.

  6. any such belief should disqualify that person from voting on the grounds of insanity

  7. its impossible for us to know that..

  8. I don't believe that God associates with a political party, but I do believe he can establish any authority on earth as he wishes.

But obviously there are values within both parties which coincide with God's policies and rules. Parties are built around religion not the other way around.

  9. IF he did exist he would love them all equally no matter what. But I'm sure he does a bit of gambling with Satan when it comes to sporting events.

  10. God does show favoritism.  He has chosen his own nation, Israel, to be a witness to the world.

  11. Yes, American fundie christians think exactly that

  12. God will favor those who walk with Him and are gifted and set apart to lead, to be President.  Man made titles mean nothing.

  13. God doesn't care about our political parties. But He does care about the individual issues. For example, He detests abortion, but He is pro-environment. That is why, as a Christian, I am registered as an independent. I don't need any man-made political party to tell me what to think. I just read the Bible and try to think as much like God as possible.

  14. Everyone knows that the superbowl is won by the team the prays the hardest, not the one with the most skilled players.

  15. I don't think he takes sides at all...however I believe he has plans for certain people that he intentionally puts in a place of power (however it is their choice as to what they decide to do with that power)...there's a difference.

  16. Well the answer is complex because the question is as well. First off, God is all powerful thus, He can do everything.

Second, to answer your main question. Everything that God does, is for a reason, that being said, He will know what way to lead the world. in the same way, to lead a country, in the same way to lead a president and the people who vote for him. These choices are not always good immediately but are good ultimately. And ultimately, Prophecy will occur. the rapture will come. The entire human race will do what God wants it to do based on those every day decisions like baseball teams loosing or winning. The same with Presidents. If you are Christian and you pray for your baseball team to win, naturally, its foolish to presume that God will answer to that superficial need. If it looses, the fan can either get really upset or learn from the experience and say that God wanted to teach me and a whole lot of people a lesson from this game.

  17. Ask a conservative... according to them, God is only on their side! (Actually it's Satan who's brain-washed all the conservatives into thinking he's God!)
