i'm totally confused man, i was watching the dvd of a metallica concert, their guitars weren't pluged in to an amp. but they were still playing!

what is this some kind of new wireless s**+*t??

I am not sure how old your dvd is but there is a lot of bands now using wireless instruments.

yes it is a wireless 1....but its not new...AC/DC used dem in da early 80's !!

Most likely. More and more bands use wireless stuff these days, it allows them to move around better on stage and perform. Metallica is one of the biggest bands in the world, it seems natural they would use this kind of technology.
