  1. Yea. But it's a tough life. You have to be real disciplined.

  2. Yes, you can. But it requires much discipline. You cannot play every race. You must chose your bets carefully.  You should only play when you feel strongly about the horse - when in doubt- skip the race. When you win, go home. When you lose, go home-do not try to make up your losses. This is how addicts are made. Go home and start again another day. Learn from your mistakes. Above all , have confidence in you own judgement.  Good luck!

  3. No.

Some people will say they are, but the track takes out WAY too much of a cut for anyone to make a consistent profit, let alone make a living at it.

The house percentage (over 20 percent at most tracks) is WAY higher than most any casino game.  For example, roulette has a house edge of 5.26 percent and THAT'S considered high!

Spend your time studying anything else other than the ponies.  Your wallet and bankroll will thank you.

(P.S.  "their" daily bills, not there.)

  4. Surely your not serious. The only one making money are the touts I hope I spelled that one right oh well there the ones that sell the winner cards. The one that tell you who to bet one win place show.

  5. You can but you have to love horses and be a workaholic.

Alot of trainers here in aus have just come back from holidays in places like South Africa, Budapest, England etc.
