Is there anyone on here who had the opportunity to either meet Princess Diana or at least see her in person?

With the 10th anniversary of her death approaching and all the media coverage, it just got me wondering. I always admired her and loved to read about her, see pictures of her and still do. But I was just hoping there was someone on here who may have had the opportunity to see her in person or meet her, that could tell me if she was a kind or as beautiful as she always seemed. Thanks.

No but I am sure she was just as beautifull in person as she seemed to be . I am sure her sons miss her very much . I am glad that they look like her instead of charles .

Yes, I was a member of the welcoming committee when she and Prince Charles toured the Maritime Provinces of Canada a few months after they were married. 1983, I think.

I was on the side that Prince Charles was walking along, and he did look rather disconcerted that everyone was craning their necks, trying to see Diana, and nearly ignoring him. I felt sorry for him to be put in such an awkward position. Diana was wearing a blue suit, but I only got a glimpse of her, because she was being mobbed. She was really very pretty, in an "English rose" style.

My husband and I shook hands with Prince Charles and exchanged a few words. He is far more attractive than in his photos. I was surprised at that. I don't think he is photogenic, because he is quite good looking in person, and, naturally, has charming manners.

Yes, I had the opportunity to see her in person on her wedding day.

The royal couple was in this beautiful coach and they were both waving to the equally happy crowd.... I was one of them...

She looked ravishingly gorgeous is all I can say :~)

I always wanted to see her.  I read everything written about her in great detail before and after her death.  Those Royals are a fascinating bunch to me.  Just love the history!

yes she came to the ship my brother was serving on just after the Falklands as Sarah Ferguson husband Andrew was also on that ship.......so the two of them came and had a sort of private mini tour prior to the 3 of them leaving.

Diana was IMO a very nice sort of person and was not all hung about her status, Sarah on the other hand wa a bit up her self............
