Is there anyone out there taking Wellbutrin XL?

Having stomach muscle pains a lot of the time when I take the medication. Most days I don't take it because I find it doesn't really help my anxiety at all...it pretty much just reverses the progress I've made in the past couple months too...is this normal, will it lighten up? Or should I just go to my doctor?

Wellbutrin is a med that has to be taken every day in order for it to help you. It takes at least 4 weeks for it to build up in your system so that it has any therpeutic effects. But, what works for one person, may not work for another. Sometimes with antidepressants it is a trial and error thing before you and your doc get it right.

Definitely go to your doctor, and talk this out with him/her.

I'm taking wellbutrin XL but it's not for anxiety it's for depression and my stomach hurts and I get diarrhea so I was put on axid for the stomach aches and Bently for the muscle spam in my stomach Talk with your Dr Good Luck

A good friend of mine was on Wellbutrin XL but it did not work for him. Wellbutrin (bupropion) XL is prescribed for depression and nicotine addiction. Researches have found that people taking Wellbutrin experience some restless, agitation, anxiety, and sleeplessness, especially soon after they start taking the drug. It will probably be better if you went to see your doctor. Good luck, take care.

Why are you taking Wellbutrin for anxiety? There are a lot of other more appropriate medications.

I suggest that you stop taking the med and revise with your pharmacist or doctor as right away!
