Is there anyone out there who LOVED The Catcher In The Rye by JD Salinger?

I'd like to know why you loved it.

I loved how honest Holden was.

I felt it was a little forced, but personally my inner landscape when I was that age has never reflected in any of the books I read about that age group.

PS, now that we have read the book we have to go an commit a high profile murder (there is a conspiracy theory based on the fact that many high profile muderers owned one or more copies of the book and I think the guy who killed John Lennon was carrying the book at the time)
