Here it is. My grandmother has been diagnosed with vertigo. It is caused by different reasons but the symptoms are extreme dizziness, ringing in the ear, and there is no cure for this. I have researched this and found that certain excersises can be used to help reduce the attacks. I also found that chiropractic care can help with this. I would like to know if anyone out there has used a chiropractor for this particular reason. If so did it help? I go to one so I know the possibility is there but I would like to know if someone as used them for this specific reason and the outcome?

  1. Did they tell you the source of the vertigo?

Did you do any research on BPPV?

EDIT: I have BPPV and most of the time it does not bother me. Sometimes if I roll over in bed too quickly I get vertigo. There are exercises you can do to reposition the displaced crystals. I recommend (personally) that you see an ENT physician for properly performing the exercises at home. If this does not work, I guess you could try a chiropractor.

  2. Read 'The Aspirin Alternative' by Dr Mike Loes. It has a section on this difficult to treat problem and tells about a product (Wobenzyme) that has been helpful to many persons who have tinnitis.
