  1. first of all, we can't message you since you have everything set to private and second of all, if you post more specific questions on here, you're likely to get a some good answers from several people.. everyone has a different background.. and can answer your questions from their own experiences.. its always good to explore different points of view..

  2. There's no such thing as a degree in "aviation science."  You might get more responses if you could clarify whether you mean aeronautical engineering, aviation management, professional aviation, or some other degree field.

Some of us prefer to avoid private messaging, and your request leaves the rest of us out of the loop.  If you can clarify your question, and ask for replies here, perhaps we can figure out how to help you.

  3. I'm not really answering your question here, but I wanted to make a comment.  If you want to be a pilot getting a degree is a great idea, the best jobs in the industry are going to require it.  The thing with aviation is that no airline cares what your degree is in.  I'm a professional pilot and my degree's in political science.  I know of a number of literature majors, history majors, art majors, and every other type of degree you could think of that are flying for some of the best airlines.  My recommendation is to get a degree in whatever you want (business sounds to be your other interest), get your flight ratings from your local FBO for most likely a portion of the cost of any university flight program, and pursue aviation if that's what you want.  This way will cost you less money and also give you a fallback if aviation either isn't for you or you happen to get furloughed or lose your medical.

  4. I have a B.S in Aviation Technology. a MEI, CFI, Instrument, Commercial license..and I'm a registered nurse, because that's what I had to do to get a real job.  I got plenty of flight time as a flight nurse on a fixed wing operation during deadhead flights.

There are too Airway Science degrees, or Aviation Science degrees, and they are WORTHLESS unless you get an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant ) ratings which are licensed mechanics.  Get an A&P license and turn wrenches for a living, and trade it for flight time.

You'll want a fall back degree, if you lose your medical and can't fly.
