  1. I love flowers and candles and it can match the color/theme of the wedding. I'm sure you can find the vases for like $2each and floating candles and fake flowers are really cheap too. do a google search for "wedding centerpiece" and you'll get some great ideas but here are some.

  2. A few photograph glass tiles set on mini easels with an etches glass tea light holders..  All placed on around mirror to reflect the light..

    Add a few accent flowers (silk) to tie it all together...

    I put the cost at

    $ 4.90 Mirror

    $ 4.00 2 photo tiles

    $ 4.20 tea light holder

    $ 5.00 2 mini easles

    $ 1.99 silk flowers (per bunch one bunch will do more than 1 table)

    ----------

    $20.09 per table

    Note I figured cost at highest price per item you will get discounts for buying in bulk...

  3. Some reception halls won't allow real candles, so call ahead and ask.  You can always get the battery ones, they are just as nice.  I'd go with the Dollar Store idea of some sort of bowl or vases or wicker baskets, and fill them with silk flowers.  I had my entire wedding done in silk flowers and people did not know they were not real.  They also look better in pictures.  The dollar store has tons of silk flowers cheap.

    What is the main theme in your wedding?  You can make candles out of sea shells.  Take one big seashell, glue on two smaller ones so it stands level, and fill with your own made candle, or just a tea candle.

    Or use a big bowl, with a smaller taller glass inside it with a pilar candle, and use glass beads in your colors in the bowl around it or flower petals.

    You can later give the centerpieces away to your new inlaws and family.  Mine were baskets of silk flowers. (The flat kind of basket with a handle, and the flowers looked just hand picked with a ribbon holding them in place in the basket.)

  4. I have a few suggestions (I did both at my wedding alternating tables).

    A floating candle bowl.  This photo's VERY basic.  Mine had colored stones at the bottom, floating white candles and floating gerbera daisies in it.  It turned out SO pretty!!!  Unfortunately my photographer stunk and didnt' get any centerpiece pictures.  Here's the other that my friend took (same flowers for both).  A votive lantern

    You should be able to get both at craft stores (I think you may be able to get lanterns at Target).  My floating bowls had an iron stand that matched the iron of the lantern.

    Good luck!

  5. Buy cheap glass bowls and fill them (not completely) with water. Put those little candles in them that float, and then light the candles. You could also put a bunch of flower petals in them.

    Haha, i didn't read the other answers, but I guess they have the same idea.

    You know what would be really cool? If you did the whole glass bowl thing, and then laminate (sp?) a photo of you and your fiancee, and then put it in the bowl and let it float. I would go with a black and white photo, it's more professional looking.

  6. I love these Luminaria Lanterns I have even seen diy websites for printing them urself. They are classy and inexpensive. Add some bulk rose petals and bam your done!

  7. You can do fruit, with a pineapple in the center... or cheap flowers. But candles are always a winner.

  8. you could buy little glass cylinders, fill them with water, add floating candles and roses in them. You could even put the roses around the base of the centerpiece to add more of a look. I am going to do something like this for mine.

  9. I went to a picking farm yesterday and the lady there told me she would only charge $5 for a dozen of any flower i wanted... you can look for one in your own state

    u can fill each table with the flowers u pick and these vases are very cheap

    Everything would be under $10 a table

  10. you could make your own floating candles centre piece with floating flowers using some wire to support them into the candles workes well

  11. How about a single rose in a glass vase on each table. Add one colored candle along with it. Then around in a circle, around the vase and rose, some rose petals.

  12. When I helped with this wedding we bought a bunch of cheap plates from a dollar store, and some of that foam stuff you stick flowers in, then we just bought a bunch of fake flowers and different little things to stick in the foam and made sure we covered it well so you couldn't see the plates.. it looked like a bunch of flowers sticking out from the center of the table. and it turned out really cute.

  13. Go to Michael's or a craft shop. Buy a plain round mirror, put cheap glass votives on it with candles and then sprinkle rose petals around on the glass.

  14. I am not sure were you live, but Wal-mart or the Dollar tree always has glass or metal bowls, Then purchase floating candles, either plain or in some shape that ties in your wedding. Use decorative stones either in the containers with the candles or around the containers with the candles to give some gleam and sparkle.

  15. Tall clear glass vases.  Get tree branches and spray paint white.  Apply iridescent glitter.

  16. Get some mirror tiles, Ikea.com has some great cheap ones, and a bunch of candles in varying sizes, you can get these cheaply at Ikea.com as well. set up 3 or 4 candles on each mirror tile. If you want a bit more sparkle get some acrylic diamond confetti (basicly plastic diamonds) and add it to your mirrors. You can find the 'acrylic diamond confetti' on ebay right now very cheaply. for more fluff try adding tull you can get rolls of the stuff for cheap at orientaltrading.com (they have tons of other cheap wedding stuff too).

    Good Luck

  17. depending on your theme...you could do a centerpiece with vases and crystals the color of you wedding and stick candles in the middle of them and add crystals on the table outside of the vase.
