Is there anyone that does not owe money?

Question

Just had an argument because I am broke and cannot payback money to debtors right now. I don't think I should worry because I can't pay it until I get it. But what I'm saying is every owes money right? Is is not the American way?

Debt is not the problem

The problem is learning how to manage  debt

Most people are woefully uneducated in the area of debt

I owe money but the money was used for investing.  But I can pay it back with the money I loaned and gained profit from or my own accounts.  So, I don't really consider that owing anything.

not really i know a lot of folks you own everything out right and pay cash for everything!!!

Well, if you don't count educational debt, I don't owe anything. However, this was not always the case. I used to owe $4500 on my credit card. I was in way too deep, and finally decided to dig myself out. After a year, I was debt free. I also have some money I would like to reimburse to my parents, but they say I don't have to. I paid down my debt by getting a loan from my bank that had a lower interest rate than the cards/debt I was trying to pay off.
