Question:

Is there anyone who does NOT believe in Global Warming?

Besides some fluctuating temperatures, what's abnormal about the weather being inconsistent? When has the weather ever been consistent.

I believe that we should take care of the planet; I go on trash pick-ups, etc. around the neighborhood frequently. But, the amount of money and time spent on these ill-founded theories has gone too far.

I worked behind the scenes in a gov-funded organization, whose sole mission turned out to be reinforcing GW, and it is mainly a lot of wasting of tax payer dollars. Ex: Using GW to create high-paying jobs for people with little or no credentials, wasting a lot of gas (pollution, heh?) to educate "staff-members" with silly programs that could easily be replaced with reading a book, and the list goes on...

  1. Global warming is REAL. People pretend it's not because it's a terrible idea that they know is true and they r too lazy to try and do something about it. People should look at the proof. Watch The Inconvenient Truth.

  2. I don't, but I also don't believe in Santa Caluse, Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, the Easter Bunny, God, Budda, Tao, the "soul", miracles (unless you consider sports miracles as real miracles), anything sacred, Thor, Hoth, or Thunderman.

So I guess what I do believe in is Capitalism, Personal Freedom to do whatever you like so long as it only harms yourself and no one else (2nd hand smoking is BS as well), Free Association, and Personal Responsibility, Intelectual Property (copy rights).

Man Made Global Warming is a religion that has a desire to keep poor countries from developing, advocates having less people on earth, and ultimately (like most religions) seeks to give more power to the state over personal freedoms.

I find it amazing that the people who once tried to consider themselves as "progressive", have now enabled themselves to be suckered into a scheme that is protectionist, big government, and technologically backwards. These people have given up on everything progressive in an attempt to not be inconvienienced by nature. The planet is fine it is the human race that is screwd.

Looking at Evolution we will see that at some point all species must become extict. Environmentalism has interfered with evolution and nature way too much. It has in the same plan that religion has, assigned blame and guilt that humans are the sole catalyst responsible for global warming. Funny how a President named GW cares so much about this futile religion, yet never receives an ounce of credit from those promoting this sad effort to destroy freedom in the name of Giya. GO PLANET! (Captain Planet)

  3. actually for the past year we've been experiencing global cooling but that's just as meaningless as global warming.

as you've noted the weather fluctuates & is inconsistant.

there is no normal weather, there are only weather averages over whatever time period you choose to average.

the trend over the last 10,000 to 13,000 years has been gradual warming & that will probably continue for a few more  human generations(I hope) but it might have already ended.

as Will Rogers said "everybody talks about the weather but nobody ever does anything about it".

  4. Global warming is just another lefty hoax, meant to put lots of cash in certain pockets.  I have never believed in it.

  5. Exactly - If the goal is to reduce carbon, we would be building nuclear power plants.

Global warming is a ruse to bilk taxpayers.

  6. It is not Global Warming, it is Climate Change...and yes it is real! Research it and you'll realize how it is affecting the planet, especially at the poles.

  7. i dont know a lot about the issue, but i do know the world isn't coming to an end anytimes soon...that part i dont see being a real modivator for people to recycle ect. anyhow.

but i guess years back there was a scare about the next iceage happening, like that didn't happen, i dont think global warming is too. couldnt it be some sort of cycle the world is going through?

but no, i dont believe in global warming. i understand we need to take care of our planet and be good stewards of our stuff, but the whole idea has def. gone too far.

  8. All those who believe in George Bush. Does that answer your question.

  9. I don't believe in global warming.

  10. here's a better way to ask.

    isn't it interesting.

  11. The issue now isn't that Earth's tempetures are rising, its that the rate that they are rising world wide is an issue. Please let me explain. I've seen programs and read articles on these time capsules in the form of ice cylinders. These cores which are drilled out of the ground in places uninhabited by man (Antartica) and where its snows often.

The snow tells scientist a lot about this planet's atmosphere in the past including during the ice age. From what I can figure, yes, we are warming again however not at the same gradual rate which was similar to the last ice age. The rate and extreme tempetures that are projected from the ice cores are much more than that in the ice age so... the difference man. This is what I believe, I'm planing on getting into environmental science after high school so I like to chime in when I fell I can be of help.

I feel sorry for you about the organization you were involved in I hope I won't get sucked in to that area when I get out there ...

  12. You worked within a standard Socialist bureaucracy.  Their goal really is to suck the money out of those who are productive, to make a bloated government that controls everything.  As you say, they are a lot of incompetents in protected government jobs.  That is the very essence of Socialism - and why Socialism brings ruin to every nation it conquers.

If mankind disappeared tomorrow, the overall warming trend would likely continue just as it has since the last deadly Ice Age ended some 12,000 years back.  Man did not cause it and man cannot stop it.   All this wonderful, green, living space we have now is a result of the sun's warmth melting back those deadly glaciers.  I'm thankful for it.

  13. What is it that makes you all so spastic about global warming? Why is it so hard to accept the proven fact that it is happening, as unanimously established by people who actually know a bit on the subject? Why is it a threat when people ask you to conserve energy and invest in cleaner technology? Why don't you drive a steam powered car, if progress is so much of a threat? For crying out loud, explain me why is this so much of a threat to you, Dr Jello For Brain, and, as it turns out, most conservatives? Do you have an obsessive compulsive aversion to change?

  14. I do believe in being good stewards of our rescources but i personally do not believe in Global warming.

  15. I think global warming is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of.I think the reason earth is warming up is because of it's position with the son I believe nasa has the answers but don't want to reveal thrm like during earths orbit it is constantly getting closer to the son little by little. So it's not global warming earth is just getting closer to the hot spot.

  16. Yes, 6 percent:

"Seventy-one percent say that global warming is probably happening, 6 percent believe it is probably not happening..."

    http://www.fightglobalwarming.com/conten...

Some tiny fraction of that 6% believe that there is a government plot out to get them, but only when they're wearing their tin foil hat that protects them from the government's mind control.  They also beleive that drinking Kool Aid also helps ward off the cosmic rays issued by the government's evil satellites.

  17. Unfortunately, Yes.

    Need I say more?
