Friends

Friends stick togather

Their birds of a feather

They never fight

They never bite

Friends help each other

Just like their brother

They never from each other steal

Their friendship is somewhat sealed

Even if one is killed

Their friendship is still sealed

  1. I would doubt it .There are a lot less mental institutions than before so there goes your only possible outlet .

    Good luck though

  2. No probably not. I wouldn't even read that poem to the homeless and poor. It has a tingle but not one speck of emotion at at all. And anyway it isn't quite true a "friend" doesn't have to be amazing to be a friend. Some friends steal, all fight, they do bite. So if you were ever going to revise that poem change the title to "True Friends." But even then i would never publish it. Add emotion, character, and truth and see what happens.  Good luck.

  3. I've been writing and publishing my poetry for many years, and you have to know it is usually work to do so unless you self publish. Many people create their own blogs to do this, and that is what I advise many people to do. Then they can share the links with friends and family that are likely to be supportive (and sometimes make new fans).

If you wish to go a bigger route, I suggest you do the homework necessary to publishing anything, especially poems. There are many market lists and some website that can help you find places to publish. I have been using Duotrope Digest for over a year, with pretty good results. You can register, keep track of submissions, and do research for the kind of publication that accepts poetry like yours. (Just expect a lot of rejection, and don't be discouraged when it happens--just send your work somewhere else.)

I hope this is helpful. Peace to you.
