  1. No, like the above person said, Cedar can cause respiratory problems and isn't the best with absorbing pee, poo, and odor. Use kiln dried pine or Carefresh. And instead of wasting 200 bucks by buying a ferret at a petstore just adopt at a shelter or Humane Society which will cost you less and help an animal in need.

  2. No, Cedar can cause repiratory problems. You can use Carefresh or even blankets if your's use litterboxes.

  3. maybe and i was looking at a ferret at the pet shop and it pooped right in front of us! lol lmao lmfao

  4. No, cedar chips are not safe at all. If it is inhaled, respiratory problems can result, and if it is ingested, intestinal blockages can occur. I recommend for litter using Yesterday's News or Crown Animal Bedding. For bedding, just use old t-shirts, rags, etc. Just be sure to wash the bedding often.

Good luck with your pet ferret!

  5. All the ceder chips, or any other bedding like that will do is end up outside the cage. You should use a litter box. I use Yesterday's News cat litter. They have ferret, but it's the same thing in a bigger bag. If you use wood chips or anything, then you risk him swallow it and getting sick from a blockage. Give him a bed and a blanket. But make sure he's not sucking on the material, but that will block it too.
