Is there anyone who would like to play pick-up indoor volleyball in Manchester, TN?

My husband and I started pick-up volleyball at the Manchester Rec Center, and we have had only 6 people that come out to play, but never at the same time. We are looking to get more people out there so we can enjoy a great pick-up game every Sunday. We have found that it is VERY HARD, to get the word out there about us playing so we are trying every avenue. Please if you live in Middle TN and looking to have fun playing volleyball we are there every Sunday from 1-4. THe cost will be $5.00 if you are not a memeber, but that includes an all day pass to the gym. They have indoor swimming pool, weights, racketball, basketball, and much more. I would be there should I have a business trip to Manchester.

Usually casual players would stay away from $5+ charge. I have four "free" open volleyball gyms in my area, and we attracted some very good volleyball players from LA. I used to play with them in their gym as they got higher-level players, but their charge went from $1 to 2 to 5 then 7. By the time it hit $5 I quit, and when it went to $7 those players came to me for help... so you got the picture.

It is not so hard to get the word out, it is hard to put in $20 every month for pickup games.

Have you heard that in LA area a recreational tournament would only charge the whole team $20, and would provide three Costco pizzas at lunch time... at a well funded "in-door" volleyball club? Haha, come to California and we will show you some nice facilities and good weather :)

I would seriously recommend that you set up a grass volleyball court and spread the word out to see how many people would be able to join you, weather permitted of course.
