  2. I NEED HELP TOO!!!!

my question is here if people wouldn't mind answering: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

What I've found works best is to take these answers and also visit a nutritionist, that is what I did when I switched to a Vegetarian diet and I plan to do it when I make the switch to a vegan diet. It is important to know what your personal needs are, and someone like a nutritionist or your doctor can help you make good decisions.

i think you shouldn't deprive your body of natural nutritions, but it is your choice i suppose.

  4. It's great that you're interested in transitioning to a vegan diet!

A healthy vegan diet includes a variety of fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, and grains. You should ensure a reliable source of vitamin B12 by eating fortified foods (such as many soymilks) or taking a supplement.

The vegan food groups, to help with meal planning:

    My favorite brands are:

    Earth Balance Natural Buttery Spread

Organic So Delicious Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert

    WholeSoy Creamy Cultured Soy Yogurt

    Tofutti—Better Than Cream Cheese

Follow Your Heart—Vegan Gourmet Cheese Alternative

    Nate's Meatless Meatballs

    Gardenburger Meatless Riblets

    Tofurky Deli Slices

Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik’n Strips

(All of these products are vegan. You can see other popular vegan products here: http://www.vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp )

This site has some easy (and cheap) vegan meal ideas:

I don't really like to cook with recipes. I usually make vegan versions of my favorite non-veg foods. For instance:

Quesadillas or mac & cheese made with soy cheese

Subs made with Tofurky Deli Slices and Vegenaise mayo

    Pasta with Nate's Meatless Meatballs

    Good vegan recipe sites are:

    http://www.chooseveg.com/vegan-recipes.a... (easier)

    http://www.vegcooking.com/searchRecipes.... (more complicated)

I hope this helps. Good luck!!
