  1. The best approach is to search MN Dental Schools - what you get is the following:

    Costs and Financing

The U of M Dental Clinics operate on a fee-for-service basis. Fees vary between our programs based on the type of program and are:

Lowest fees are in the Predoctoral and Dental Hygiene programs with educational discounts between 35%-50% less than fees in the general community.

Moderately higher fees are in the Graduate and Residency clinics, with educational discounts averaging between 20%-35% of those in the general community.

Comparable to costs elsewhere in the Faculty Practice; special payment arrangements may apply.

At the U of M Dental Clinics we have a number of options for financing your dental care: Cash, Check , Visa, MasterCard or Novus (Discover)

We accept most Private Insurance plans, including most Delta Dental Plans

If you want to know if your insurance plan is accepted at the U of M, call (612) 624-6110 Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) are accepted at the U of M Dental Clinics. Programs included are Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care and GAMC.

It's important to understand that before you can begin treatment in our clinics a treatment plan and a method of payment must be established. Our Patient Accounting staff members are available to arrange dental care financing and will assist you with determining your best method of payment. Since our fees are lower than those in the general community, even if you are on a pay-as-you-go basis, your money will go farther in our clinics.

Most clinics now do charge fees and so the best approach is utilize a low cost dental plan like the ones you can find at - http://www.BestDentalNow.com - you can compare quickly plan costs for specific procedures, other providers in the area, and most cost only $20 - $30 monthly.

Much more economical than traditional insurance. They also are available for use instantly, allow cosmetics and reps to help you work out any additional charges and financing with the dentist office BEFORE your visit so there are no bait and switch or last minute charges.
