I get tons of these things in the mail. I'm trying to track down all the organizations that are sending them to me so I can get off their list, but in the meantime I have a box of labels with my full name and address that I will never be able to use up in my lifetime.

  1. I don't think they can be recycled because of the adhesive. I've listed a couple of links to help get you off mailing lists. I keep a few of them in my purse and just stick them on when I need to fill out a form and they need my address. Things like school forms, medical, preorder merchandise, whatever.

If you do give them to an organization, just make sure you are OK with everyone knowing your name and address.

  2. This is sort of a non-answer, but you really should shred and throw them away as identity theft is a real risk.

  3. check with a local preschool or daycare, they use these items for the kids to play post office etc.
