  1. Usually impacted teeth won't erupt completely or at all. If the crown isn't completely out your dentist will probably tell you to wait and see depending on your age. Otherwise you could go to an oral surgeon and have them extracted. The oral surgeon will cut the gum and take them out that way. Be prepared for a few stitches, swelling and pain if you have to go that route. If your regular dentist pulls them; no stitches, just like having a tooth pulled normally. If you have to get them done at the oral surgeon you might have some residual nerve damage afterward. Eventually the nerves grow back but you'll have some numbness. Mine took about a year to repair themselves.

  2. You can have them removed, even if they are not finished coming in yet. It requires having them cut out. I had a friend have hers done this way because she was in so much pain. Hope you feel better soon.

  3. Go to the dentist and have them removed.

  4. Anbesol is a topical oral anagesic, can be purchased over the counter

  5. Ouch! I remember the pain well and it has been years since mine came in. Now you know why babies are so cranky when cutting teeth. Poor lil' things. All you can really do is take some OTC pain meds like you're doing and maybe use topical analgesic such as OraGel. Otherwise call your dentist and they will give you some advice or perhaps even a prescription. They should eb able to tell you if they are impacted.

PS I had all 4 of mine removed at the same time. They were not impacted.
