Is there anything I can do to make my hamster wheel a little more quieter?

I have just bought some silent wheels from the pet shop and they are silent if you just spin the wheel however the base vibrates on the bottom of the cage and this makes a noise!! I have Roborovski hamsters so their cage is largely plastic so I can't attach the wheels to anything I just need something for the base to stop the rattling. Any ideas?????

  1. Put a pillow under it

  2. take the wheel thingy out. then your hamster will be very quiet.  :) hope i helped!   :)

  3. put some canola, or vegetable oil on it. make sure that whatever oil u put on it wont harm ur hammie

  4. Vegitable oil!!! it really works!!

  5. two tiles (thin!!!!!!!!!!) to sandwich the base of the wheel to stop it rattling and it stops them moving it around.

  6. I had the same problem!  Just fold a papertowel and put it under the base---it absorbs the vibrations and stops the noise.

  7. I use tape to hold the bottom of the wheel down.

  8. Put a thin layer of paper towel under the area where the wheel is. I've had the same problem.Hehe. Another thing you can do is put the wheel on top of the bedding if thats possible.

    hope this helps! :)
