Is there anything I can do when my digital video recorder says: condensation? It shuts off.?

It has done this for a month and I can't get it to work no matter what. Please help!

  1. Get a hair dryer and blow dry it for a while see if that helps. Chances are there is some condensation inside the unit which is causing the sensors to shut the unit down. If you are daring take the cover off the camera and blow dry the insides. Just beware that you stand a good chance of voiding any warranty you have on the unit.


  2. A more gentle way to allow the camera to dry out is to just eject the tape and let it sit with the tape door open for a day or so. Condensation will ruin the tape mechanism so the sensor is there for a reason. If it doesn't dry out, then have it looked at professionally for repair.
