Is there anything I can take that will "flush out" gallstones? Anything herbal that the Dr. isn't suggesting?

I saw the general surgeon and because of other health issues, she want to wait to have my gallbladder removed. I just have to watch my diet and deal with it. I know some Dr's don't recommend herbal stuff.

  1. NO.  The olive oil and juice "flush" does not remove gallstones.  It only CREATES soft "stones" in your gi tract.  These are then mistaken for "gallstones" among the gullible.

There is NOTHING you can take that will flush out gallstones.

Not olive oil, not some mystery treatment that only naturopathic doctors would know, nothing.

    And that's a FACT.

  2. You can try lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in room temperature water once a day to help cleanse the liver and gallbladder.

If you have the small gravely gallstones you might not be able to avoid surgery: they are too prone to getting lodged in the bile duct and causing infections or rupture.   That was the situation I found myself in 10 years ago.  The doctor had no choice but to remove it when I came into the ER with intense pain and a 104º fever.

Larger ones you can live with for a time, unless they too cause an infection.

  3. I beg to humbly disagree with those who have answered more according to conventional knowledge regarding this subject. I should remind you that gallstones form when liquid stored in the gallbladder hardens into pieces of stone-like material. The liquid, called bile, is used to help the body digest fats. Bile is made in the liver, then stored in the gallbladder until the body needs to digest fat. At that time, the gallbladder contracts and pushes the bile into a tube--called the common bile duct--that carries it to the small intestine, where it helps with digestion.

Bile contains water, cholesterol, fats, bile salts, proteins, and bilirubin. Bile salts break up fat, and bilirubin gives bile and stool a yellowish color. If the liquid bile contains too much cholesterol, bile salts, or bilirubin, under certain conditions it can harden into stones.

Your body's only means of getting rid of excess cholesterol is by converting it into bile salts and removing it in your bile. Normally, bile salts keep cholesterol dissolved in the bile, but if there is too much cholesterol it crystallises into little solid specks - which can lead to the formation of gallstones the size of a marble, or even a golf ball!

Therefore, any oil with high terpene content should be able to dissolve those stones, specially if they are used within a fasting program.

It is true that some of those so called cures for gallstones don't work, but I have had hundreds of patients with this condition who have seen their gallstones dissolve in mater of 5 to 12 days. And that's not only me, but a large number of alternative health practitioners as well.

It would be totally unethical for me to disclose here a protocol for such purpose, specially without knowing the generals about the asker's health condition, but it can be done. So, go to a responsible and thoroughly trained Naturopathic Doctor or Alternative Doctor in your area, and look for help. Then post your results to help others realize that they don't need to live in darkness about unconventional natural responsible cures for similar conditions.

    NOTE:

The only reason why you might need a surgery in this case, is if the cystic duct that holds the gallbladder in a 45 degree position is bent down completely due to the heavy weight of multiple stones inside the gallbladder. In that case a surgery will be mandatory since it could threaten your life. When that happens, the pain in the central abdominal area is constant and sometimes unbearable. If you're are having these very symptoms I am describing, do not delay a visit to your regular doctor. Otherwise, please go and see a responsible and well-trained Naturopathic Physician as soon as possible. It will be very inexpensive for you, in comparison with a surgery.

  4. Opus is dead right. The opening to the first part of the small intestine is the diameter of a pencil lead. This is where bile from the gallbladder passes. It is impossible for a stone to go through there, and impossible for the stone to pass through the small common bile duct. If a stone ever lodged beyond the gallbladder you would have to have emergency surgery to remove it. You doctor is right, a low fat diet will ease the pain and until you can have surgery.

  5. Listen to Dr. Baret.  He's knows what he's talking about.  I've never met him, but his suggestion is what I would have told you.

There ARE things you can do, but go see a good Naturapath or DO so they can assist!

  6. i went to gallcleanse.com, I found the product there to work very well!

    Good luck!

  7. Have you heard of the olive oil and juice flush? It's totally nasty, but you can google it and some people swear by it.

  8. The Self-Help Health Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico has some protocol for using supplements, especially stuff from Standard Process, Inc. of Palmyra, Wisconsin but I don't know what it is. Supposely, it works but I never tried it. I just know someone who says it worked for them.

I do know the previous owner of the place cured me of gout but the people running it now are not the same people.

You might be able to find out about the Standard Process protocol on www.myhealthstore.com (which is just it's name, I'm not associated with it).

  9. Cranberry juice I hear works good for that..
