Is there anything I should see in Mexico when I go there for vacation this summer?

I'm going to Mexico in Cancoon (did I spell that right?...I'm guessing not). I think you spell it "Cancun..."

Anyway, I'm going to Mexico in Cancun near the Gulf of Mexico, and I was just wondering if there were any sites/cities/landmarks or anything I should see while I'm there.

Also, is there anything I should watch out for? Any dangers aside from the possible salmenela infection of tomatoes and peppers.

Before you go, watch the DVD of Mel gibson's Apocalypto.  Then when you get to Cancun, take the air-conditioned bus tour over to The Maya ruins at Chichen Itza--there are many acres of ruins to explore.  For thing to do in Cancun, click the link below to read reviews of 79 thing to do and see.

DO NOT EAT JALAPENO PEPPERS unless they are 100 percent cleared from salmonela mexico has em infected somehow

and i went to cancun esa but i dont remember really what it was like but i was real small kid

just have fun! Cancun is absolutely gorgeous with the turquoise water and white sand beaches.  Definitly go to playa del carmen!  I want to live there so bad!  Its so fun there.  Also go to one of the ruin sites.  I went to Coba and its just so amazing! :)

Um wherever u are entering th e border form the USA to Mexico take a look at the wall that runs through that city it is filled with artwork and symbols that will make you think about us Mexico relations.  When i was there 2 years ago i was by the wall and looked in a sewer grate and there was a family crossing from Mexico to us.  It put allot of things in prospective for me.  Trust me take the time to llok at what separates the us from mexico it sounds stupid but does bring some things to light.
