My little guy has to have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy tomorrow so he has to be on a clear liquid diet for 36 hours. He's so hungry, he's crying. I've already given him jello and popsicles.

  1. Anything clear is fine, just stay away from RED jello.  I know it's hard for him, but keep giving him lots of water and that should help his tummy stay a little more full.

  2. We must go to the same GI. MY little one just went through the same things. I don't know about 36 hours I had to start prep 24 hours before hand. Wait till you have to give them an e***a, what fun that is!! Make sure you put a diaper on him after that, it is not pretty! Let them eat Jello(any kind BUT red!!) Also  soda, soda,  soda my little girl never had so much in her life. Anything clear is OK, try some chicken soup broth. I am so sorry that you have to go through this please make sure that you have someone go with you to the hospital. I almost cried when they took my daughter away, they took her in a big red wagon. If you don't mind me asking why does your son have to have this done? and Where are you at? Mine had to have hers done because she is having poor weight gain and blah blah blah. Anyway good luck and take care!

    Edit:

I am sorry to hear that. I hope all goes well for your little one and I will keep you in my thoughts!

  3. Chicken broth, ginger ale with a fun straw if you have one, and try the jello again in fun shapes and different colors.  Good luck!
