  1. In addition to the previous answers there are two more things to consider

RAW files need to be processed after shooting, this takes time and you may need to convert them in order to print them at a lab.Otherwise they are the most versatile and forgiving of the file types, once you have set a standard for a batch of files they process can be automated to some extent.

  2. Watch my memory card to make sure that I have enough spare space!

That is the ONLY consideration. RAW gives you so much more control, There are no other draw backs.

Edit: Oh. Almost forgot. I have been caught out in situations where I needed to display taken photos and the available equipment couldn't display RAW files. RAW does need to be converted into a more exchangeable format such as TIFF or JPG.

  3. Aside from disk space, the only other item you may need to be aware of is the histogram (the single most useful tool on a digital camera). The histogram displayed by a camera is that from a virtual JPEG image, though none exists. As a JPEG has less information available than a RAW file, you will have more data than the curve shows. That means there will be some wiggle room near the white and black ends of the curve so, if you clip the curve a bit at either or both ends, you'll be able to recover most, if not all that "lost" information. No worries.

  4. RAW files are bigger than Jpeg files and thus takes longer for the camera to process the images. It takes a little longer for the image to  show up on the LCD. You can't shoot as rapidly as you can in Jpeg since the camera's buffer fills up fairly quickly. These are somethings you have to consider.
