Is there anything else I can do for cramping and ovarian cysts, besides taking birth control?

I have been having serious cramping issues since I had a miscarriage last year about 6 months after the birth of my daughter. I get really bad cramps that feel like labor pains. They are unbearable at times and make me fall to the floor. My doc did 2 ultrasounds and found some fluid in my tubes, which has now cleared and also about 6 small cysts in each ovary. She recommended taking birth control to try to help with the cramping and get rid of the cysts. However, I have been through 3 different kinds now with horrible side effects and no success. I am totally done with birth control! Plus, my husband and I would like to have another child soon. Another issue is that I have a tilted uterus. I have heard that this can cause bad cramps as well. I have considered the uplift procedure, but am unsure about it. Is there anyone else who has suffered the same symptoms? What did you do?

  1. Pain like you describe is not normal. See another doctor and ask for second opinion.
