Is there anything else i can do if i dont have contact lense solution w/ me?

i need to take out my contacts badly but i dont have solution. is there anything i can put it in or help preserve it until i can get my hands on some??

I have heard people use water. As a last resort!! You can go to any eye doctors office and ask for a free sample of CL solution.They usually get them free from the manufacturers.

if you're REALLY in trouble, you can just use water until you find a solution. apparently they sting a lot when you put them on the next day if you soak them in just plain water overnight though, but it goes away after a few minutes... but if you're not wearing them again until you get some solution, put them in water until you get some, and then put them straight in the solution as soon as you can, and make sure you wash them in the solution a lot before you soak them as well. i don't think it shouldn't matter for just the once

Saline, Water is an absolute NO NO with soft lenses. Especially good old fashioned tap water, the bacteria found in tap water can have devestating effects, a particulary bad one most commonly found in tap water is acanthomeoba Keratitis and can cause permanent blindness within 24 hours. otherwise throw the lenses away and use your glasses. All contact lens wearers should have a backup pair of glasses, If you have put your lenses in water throw them away. I have seen many sad cases of patients who have done this and suffered bad infections and loss of vision.
