Is there anything i can do to my red velvet cake i put icing on it and cut into it and its not done?

  1. if you only put icing on the top, you can slice off just the top, set aside, and bake the lower (unfrosted) part some more. if you put the frosting on the sides as well, unfortunately i don't think there's much you can do; depending on how underdone it is, it may be edible anyway, but you should be very careful with that if the batter had raw eggs in it.  


  2. If the cake is heavy it shouldn't be a big problem.  If its not baked enough, you need to make a new one.  Always stick a regular toothpick in a cake to test it, if it comes out clean in the center, the cake is done.
