  1. no there isn't.. 10 month olds should still be on formula and baby foods, just pack those with you when you go.

  2. You could see how well your baby likes beans and rice. There is no harm in those. Try them one at a time. Like just get her rice the first time. If she doesnt show any allergies to it, or gets sick, then the rice should be ok. Then try the beans. A flour tortilla would be ok too if you cut it into small pieces.

  3. My son is 9 months old and he doesn't eat baby food. We tried for awhile and he didn't eat it. He still has formula...but we have started giving him stuff that we eat. And he has had no problems what so ever. Of course its small enough so he won't choke.

Order something and give her a little bit. Softer the better.

I think some parents follow the book a little too much. Seriously..as long as its not eggs, fish, honey, peanut butter or things that cause allergies under a year old, your baby will be fine.

  4. I don't know if I would start with something so intense as full blown Mexican restaurant. Maybe you could start her out on some more simple gradual table foods like mashed potatoes or cooked carrots. You could even get her familiarized with meats that you are eating at home. Beans are very gassy and could upset her stomach. In fact most Mexican food is very gassy and could be upsetting to the tummy.
