  1. Yes, lots.

First of all you have the famous "golden mile" of low rent drinking establishments that runs down the length of south street from the station to  brannigans (which offers it's boozed addled clientele the delights of "drinking, dancing and cavorting"). Go for an eleven o'clock stroll down here if you to see humanity at it's very lowest, just watch out for the flying beer bottles, happy slapping teens and screaming mingers squeezed into clothes too revealing for their kebab bloated bodies.

Other places to check out - the Charaoke on North Street (chinese buffet with karaoke as made famous by ITV's drunk and dangerous), Hollywood's Nightclub (the spiritual home of  80's essex stereotypes - now being turned into "luxury" flats), and of course Primark on a saturday lunchtime, which is great if you happen to like hundreds of fat sweary single mothers fighting over £2 skirts.

But you're right, there are a lot of kebab shops - 1 for every 10 people in fact. My favourite is the CRP diner on victoria road, which is obviously missing a letter.
