Is there anything at all that will last forever or do all things meet an ultimate end eventually? This includes the concept of time and matter and even empty space.

  1. Love will last until the end of time.

  2. There is no possible way to know.  The only answers you can get are speculative, since "forever" is infinite, just because something exists for hundreds of billions of years, there is no guarantee it will still exist a nanosecond from now.

  3. fear will last forever.

  4. This is an interesting question, and the key is 'forever', which is an admittedly long period of time.

In quantum mechanics, one sees that nothing is impossible, but that there are things that are simply improbable. Things can be so improbable that they would be extremely unlikely to happen in a billion billion times the period that the universe has existed. But against infinite time, well, that is no assurance at all! And so it is not that all things meet any sort of preordained (oops) end, but rather that the likelihood that they will exist unchanged forever MUST be 0, because there is never a likelihood of 1 that any event will or will not happen.

Having said all of that, for 'practical' purposes, considering a time frame of perhaps a billion billion times the 14 billion years of this universe, as far as we now understand, atoms would remain atoms, and molecules would remain molecules; photons would continue as photons, and space would continue to be distorted by mass, just as it is now. That is, that space, time, energy and matter would be the same. Space would be larger than it is now, but still space. Photons would carry the same energy, matter would be colder and on average there would be a much higher entropy, but atoms and molecules would still act as they do today, and time would be consistent within its reference frame.

Of course, you do not have to believe anyone's answer. You could simply wait and see!

  5. no the universe from billions and billions years from now the Universe would expand uncontrol and when the stars deid and it will died in ice not fire it would freez over the waters we might have to make a baby universe like a lifeboat from billions of years from now

now there are billions of other Universes out there

    the universe expmands
