I have a boxer and a rat terrier who have the worst gas you have ever smelled. My boxer smells like sulfur and my rat terrier has made me dry heave before. What can I use to make them stop? They rarely get table scraps and they eat either science diet or pedigree. It doesn't seem to matter what they eat they still f**t.

  1. Bad gas is almost always a sure sign of diet incompatibility.  Those two brands aren't known for having a lot of natural non-filler ingredients.  I suggest heading to your local holistic pet store and getting some foods with healthier ingredients (reading the first five on the bag will enlighten you... no wheat, no corn, and preferably all meat.

  2. You should try a higher quality dog food.  Science diet and pedigree are actually very low quality.

Check out http://www.dogfoodproject.com/ for brand comparisons and to learn how to read dog food labels yourself to evaluate the quality.

I'm sure your dogs would have less gas problems if they ate a higher quality food.  It may take some experimentation to find the right food for them.

  3. Consult your vet on what you should be feeding those two gas monsters!

  4. I wish!!!

  5. I was told that some dry dog foods will make a dog f**t terrible, try either a different brand of dry food or take it away from them all together.  It may be worth a try.
