Is there anything more beautiful?

"Spiritually speaking" is there anything more beautiful than watching the baby grow in your wife's womb...to place your hand on her belly and feel the baby move...to talk to the baby while it's in the womb and see it react to your voice...to watch the baby being born...and then to watch the mother and baby begin to bond in the first week? ...almost makes me wish I had a womb. My wife gave birth Wednesday, it's been a joy. I don't care if you're a Christian, some other religion, or even an athiest, I can't think of anything more spiritual and beautiful, can you?

  1. Congratulations Mike on the birth of your baby.  I have not experienced the joy of childbirth yet.  I hope to someday.  I would say it is the most beautiful thing in the world.  My mother tells me we really don't understand love until we see the face of our first child. :)

  2. Rainbows.

  3. Wow, congratulations! I hope you're all doing well!

And yes, I must agree, it is quite beautiful to see. The hormones not so much, but the rest is.

  4. It is indeed an amazing thing congratulations and God Bless!

  5. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!     :-D

Yes, I agree - there is no greater miracle than life and the process that takes place in the mother's womb.  (This also includes the new life in Christ for those who come to Him and are "born again" spiritually; except I believe that spiritual birth in Christ is just a little higher on the scale then physical birth, because "all the angels in heaven rejoice whenever (even) a (single) soul is saved!")

  6. Congratulations Mike, it is beautiful experience.
