Is there anything on the market to restore non-stick coatings?

I have an older George Foreman grill that has lost its non-stick coating over years of use- can this be replaced at all or do I have to go out and buy a whole new grill? Other than the non-stick surface problem it works fine.

  1. I doubt you would want to try to do that even if there is a product for that purpose (which I doubt).  The non-stick surfaces are safe as long as they do not peel off. If it peels and gets into any food it is toxic to the body. Best to throw away and Teflon pot, pan, ... etc. that has the coating coming off.

NOTE: The most common cause for the Teflon coming off is people using metal tools like a spatula instead of plastic ones. The metal ones scratch the Teflon and over time it begins to come off.   Wish I could get my wife to stop using the metal spatula in the Teflon pans. Yes I'm a man that likes to cook, and good at it.

  2. easy. first  you cover it with cooking oil rub it around with paper towel. you then use salt. rub it around with paper towel once again. and repeat the process.
