  1. Athens is a fantastic city with tons of stuff to do including but not limited to museums (I recommend the National Archaeological Museum) and churches. The Acropolis is a must see for anyone that goes. There are beaches near by to relax at, and water sports are plentiful. Shopping isn't cheap there, but the flea market (Monastiraki, if I remember correctly) is lots of fun and you can find some really cool stuff there. The Plaka (downtown) is also a great place to stroll around and peek into the boutiques and souvenir shops.  The Olympic Stadium is also really cool to see, and conveniently located very close to one of Athens biggest and newest shopping malls. Just strolling around town is nice, there are lots of trendy neighbourhoods to be found, all nestled amongst the ancient ruins. There are a few day trips you could take from Athens also, if you have the time. Have fun on your trip!

  2. to relax in athens is mostly going out for coffee or to a bar. great nightlife is in glyfada at galea club and balux. for shopping go ermou, monastiraki, or kolonaki. cycling is not recomended because most greek people dont drive well.

  3. Cycling is not such a good idea in the streets of Athens. But he can go to a fitness room of a good hotel (which I don't recommend, because you can find that at home, you don't want to waste your time in Greece) or BETTER he can go to the sea and try wind-surfing or water ski or just swimmimg . In Vouliagmeni he will find all these facilities. Or you could go swimming in Sounio and see the ancient temple as well.

As for you, try the area of Kolonaki, great shops and a couple of amazing museums (Benaki, Byzantine, Cycladic art) or Ermou street at Syntagma, where by the way you will se a Byzantine church in the middle of the road.

Finally, go up on Lycabetus hill, for a relaxing view of Athens and dinner or drinks at the cafe up there. You will exercise a bit going up hill to get the funicular railway that takes you up. Or you can take a taxi up to the parking of the theatre of Lycabettus and then go up a rather long staircase.
