Is there anything out there that I can do about a cockroach problem?

I've had the home sprayed, and sprayed, cleaning up all that mess everytime only to keep seeing more roaches. I'm at my wits end. Please if you have ever found something that worked, no matter how unusual it sounds or had someone else tell you about something they used sucessfully, be a pal and tell me. All ideas will be considered-I'm not above incantations, jk.

  1. U get LAKSHMAN REKHA in the departmental shops in INDIA,it's like a CHALK PIECE.....DRAW ON THE GROUND AND THE rocaches will die and u need to remove them tht's alll...and no prob for another 1 month or so...still if the roches persist seal all the ends in the houses like drain pipe  etrc......

still if they persist call PEST CONTROL DEPT.the number appears in TIMES OF INDIA PAPERS...sumtimes

  2. We had a problem once that wouldn't go away, despite repeated professional exterminator calls until a tree was cut from very close to the house.  The inside of the tree must have been rotten or something.  It was a chinaberry tree.  I was told that when the tree hit the ground that cockroachs scattered EVERYWHERE.  After that No More Cockroaches.  So do a thorough check outdoors too.  It might be the tree in the flowerbed, and nothing you can do inside that is the problem.

  3. Try using two different kinds of insecticide. You have to carefully read the labels to determine the active ingredient. Sometimes they will become resistant to a single chemical. Also spray the outside perimeter of your house particularly along windows, corners, doors etc. Anywhere where they may possibly crawl and or get in. After eating, clean up very well. Just a small crumb or two will attract them. Lastly, if you live in a place like Florida where I do, you will never be able to completely eradicate them no matter what you do, the goal will be to keep the numbers down. Good luck.

  4. What has been really effective for us is to do the borac acid trick and bread.  They track the borac acid back to the nest and it wipes out eh c**k roaches.  Spray doesn't help.

  5. Have you tried Boric acid, or a combination of that and diatomaceous earth? Those are good against a lot of pests, and it seems you've got a very persistent problem.

And while I normally don't advocate this, you might even want to try bug bombs because the little stinkers are hiding where the spray won't get them.

    Good luck!

  6. Combat Roach Gel is good. If you can though fog the whole place.

  7. There are several options...Suspend SC with Precor added and mixed into gallon sprayer...one ounce and added Precor shake container and spray every 3 to 6 months..residual, odorless...safe around pets...do not go near obvious, such as fish tanks, pet food  or eating and cooking areas..

Also, Maxforce paste in tube...put under cabinet areas and where pets,  children and foodstuffs do not come into contact. It is a bait for roaches and eradicates them quickly.

Both are available through DIY Pest Pros, 2239 S. Ridgewood Ave., South Daytona, Fl  386-767-0041
