  1. I believe there are vaccinations that you can have.  You physician, or the health department,  should have a list of recommended vaccinations.

  2. Go to a Doctor where you live and ask for a prescription before you go to Vietnam.  Staying away from mosquito's is good too.  Putting on Deet is helpful too.  I always go to my doctor and get a prescription before we go back and visit.  There are to many things to tell to list here for travel in Vietnam. Go to Yahoo or Google and ask your questions, I am sure yoiu will find the answers there. Vietnam is a great place to visit.  Enjoy you time there. cheers.

  3. put a cork in it..no more malaria..    :)

  4. According to the WHO there is no malaria in the coastal regions off Vietnam. As a traveler  you will not stray far from the coast,if you do you may want to buy some spray with a high DEET content,[80 to a 100%].I have lived here in the beautiful coastal resort of Nha Trang,i use nothing,so come to VN,have a great time and dont worry about malaria.

  5. wash your hands well. Be careful, they still have many sicknesses there. Bring along wipes.

  6. Depends a bit on where you live, but in the UK you can very often get very good advice from your local independent pharmacy (chemists) I say, independent, as the main chains do not seem to have people who are always up to speed on their Malarias.

  7. Go to the doctor and ask for anti-malaria prescription. I believe it's called chloroquin.
