  1. I don't think you will.(food) Most of the time, when you buy fish from the store, they have to be at a certain length and age in able to be sold to costumers. So i don't think it will need anything special. Although you should give the fish some regular flakes, and as treats, buy some Freeze Dried Bloodoworms, or Brine Shrimp.

You should get a 3 or 4 gallon tank with a filter. Since it's still very young, when it's a fully grown adult, the maximum size it will be is about 6 inches in length. Mine was about that size when it died. ( mine was a Koi Angelfish). There's a rule about that: For every inch of a fully grown adult fish, that's how many gallons you should have.( example: The Angelfish should get around 6 inches maximum. That means if your going to have to upgrade to a new tank that is 6 or more gallons).

Plus, get some Conditioner for the water. Tap water has chlorine and chemicals in it,so it's harmful to the fish. The water conditioner will get rid of all of those, and makes it safe for them.

I hope this helped. Have fun with your new fishy!!!!!!!!!!! =D
