Where is the line drawn? So much evidence surfacing in just the last couple decades. When does 'obvious' and 'fact' surpass faith?

  1. The Bible says in 1Corinthians13:12-13 that now we have faith, hope and love, but when we finally see Jesus, there will be no more need for faith and hope, because then that which we had only faith and hope in will be before us face to face in truth:

12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

  2. I still believe that if I have enough faith I'll have a bigger p***s when I wake up in the morning.  I know it will happen...I just know it.  The obvious suggests that this is impossible, but it also suggests that snakes can't talk and millions of people believe that...what's a talking snake compared to just another inch or two.

  3. I have to laugh every time I see the attitude of so many people on R & S. I can look in to my past and see me with that same attitude just a few years ago.

Your lack of understanding of what faith means is obvious. When someone says that they have "faith", this means that they do not have so called scientific theory or fact to back it up. In otherwords, it can not be proven to someone who does NOT have faith. A personal relationship with God begins as HOPE...Once a person accepts God, that hope becomes KNOWLEGE. And unfortunately, that knowledge is something that each person can only receive through their own spirit. If I could somehow transfer it to you, you would understand. Those who KNOW GOD will understand perfectly.

  4. There is no limit.

  5. I firmly believe people can believe in whatever they want to believe, no matter what anyone else says.

  6. Technically, as faith is the belief without evidence, there is nothing that one would not believe by faith.

Faith exists, despite evidence to the contrary.

  7. faith with out works is dead   so believe

  8. People can have faith in something no matter how bad the evidence because nothing can be proven 100 percent, I mean we could all be characters in a video game.

  9. >>When does 'obvious' and 'fact' surpass faith?<<

It doesn't. By definition, faith is "firm belief in something for which there is no proof". If something can be factually proven, it is not a matter of faith.

  10. No but there are right and wrong things and deities to believe in.A person who is Christian, agnostic, atheist or any belief have a faith in something (whether God ,nothing or in between) as core principal.

In the Christian faith you need the faith in God The Father, The Son of God (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. obvious and fact are states of mind once God speaks to your heart. The lime is drawn wherever your free will puts it.

  11. No line is drawn...

because everyday new children generation are being brainwashed by brainwashed parents...

  12. God gives the promises written in His word if you do your part in the Covenant, otherwise you will receive nothing.

  13. It's obvious life and the universe were designed. So much evidence surfacing in the last few decades. But apparently many have faith that we'll find another explanation.

Each of the cells in a human contains a copy of DNA with all the information to operate the human body for a lifetime. DNA is the most compact information storage system in the world; no computer of human invention can approach the quantity and complexity of information it contains.

DNA even contains the instructions to devise the cellular machinery to decode its instructions. Without a mechanism to decode the information, the DNA blueprint would be useless. Even if DNA had managed to evolve the decoding mechanism to read it would have had to evolve at precisely the same time. This scenario is impossible because the instructions for building the decoding unit are contained in the DNA itself.

    EDIT:

    And, what 'poohcat' said.

  14. Faith in what?

  15. Apparently, the line of faith is never, ever drawn.  Nothing is too extreme or too ridiculous or too incredible for the gullible of heart
