Is there anything that a person can do if they call the cops & they dont show up

I mean i would like to know what are the most urgent police calls & which are the least urgent because i've seen cops not show up to burglary calls (well i didn't actually see them not show up but you get my drift if you're not a technical a$$hole).

If you have time to call the cops, you have time to remove yourself from a dangerous situation.

If the result off their not showing up is someone gets killed raped hospitalized  they can be sued and for big bucks .Depends on what you say when you make the call.If you are all calm and collected they may think there is no big rush if you sound like you are being killed raped hospitalized etc . makes a big difference. Voice records are kept and can be used as evidence.

Most times police don't want citizens to get involved no matter what. But this is a media drive society (America is anyways) so if you see an injustice occurring, first call the cops and report it, then try to stay out of the way. But if you can't do everything you see necessary, nothing you don't. Last get your story straight. If what you did was heroic and the news media gets a hold of it, you won't have to worry at all about the cops being angry at you. But if you threw yourself into a hostile situation just for recognition, you better believe they will lock you up with the culprits.

The street wise always call an O.T. (Officer in Trouble) and that always brings tons of cops pronto.  Otherwise they might not show up.

Two Saturdays ago I was reading in the park here in Boston and was attacked by a 6'3" crackhead.  I first fended him off and looked around for a cop at the same time.  Usually there is a Statey patroling in the area.  Not a cop in sight.  So down the crackhead went with Shiho Nage.  I had one knee in his stomach and one knee on his shoulder, held his arms down as he struggled and gave him a good slap across the face. **C-R-A-C-K**  That brought him back to reality and he stopped grabbing and throwing punches at me.  Still no cop in sight.  I let the dude up, and he attacked me again.  Ogoshi.  Down he went in a heap.  I backed off a few feat and ordered him to GO HOME!  He got up and wandered off swearing, cussing,and threatening me with death.  Still no cops in sight.

A worker came over, saw the whole thing, said he called the State Police on his cell phone and wondered if I wanted to talk to them and give a description of the guy when they came.  I said sure.  Twenty-five minutes later still no State Police.  I said I ain't waiting all day for the frickin useless cops and walked home.

You have done all that you can by calling. The response time depends upon the urgency of the call.
