  1. I get this in my head, temples, in front of my ears and my face as well as the same feeling in the bottoms of my feet. I have some sort of nerve disorder but the doctor's don't know exactly what or why. But I take tramadol, a mild non-narcotic pain killer that my doctor has to write a script for. But if you don't have anything to take you can try heat. Heat really relieves it for me and I get it quite often. There have been a few times that it has been so bad I have had to go to the emergency room and they give me an injection of a very strong pain medication. But if I catch it early enough and start with the heat right away then it usually doesn't get bad enough to have to go to the e.r.

What I do for heat is I put a cup or 2 or uncooked dry rice in a clean sock and tie the end closed. Then I put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds. It retains heat for about 30 minutes and it is soothing moist heat the really gets deep to help take the pain away. Good luck.... I know how horrible this can be. Just rest and try the heat!! :)
