Is there anything that is 100%?

Cause like the lie detector test is 99.999997% or something like that. And the purest good is 99. 99999%...

So is there anything that is 100% Scientifically

Please no lame answer like "I'm 100% s**y"

  1. For instance, the carbon-carbon bonds in diamond are 100 percent covalent.

When it comes to the "purity" some substance or compound, then I would say that 100 percent may be unattainable.

Then again you probably want to specify the precision of your 100 percent.

100 percent isn't the same as 100.00000 percent.

    100 percent is +/- 1 percent, while 100.00000 percent is +/- 0.00001 percent.

  2. Nope there isn't....and no you are right not even pregnancy is 100% and I guess the only 100% you can get is on a grade at school.

  3. yes ban never know it because of that pesky Heisenberg thing.

for example something can be 100% pure if he sample is one atom, but we can't prove it

  4. for me (in real world) there is no 100%

  5. Gold may be as good as you claim, but I doubt "good" is.

100-proof is only 50%, but can still be very GOOD!

I'm reminded of the sot who, when asked how he was, responded, "huner %"; maybe he meant 100-proof!

Somehow, e's, p's and n's seem like they should be 100%, but of course, 100% of what.

If you claim 100% s**y, you must be purer than "driven" snow! Better that than worrying about a "little" pregnancy! Hang tough!

  6. well as the physicists say  nothing is proven til you do the math.

the Pythagorean theorem is 100% correct..always has been always will be ....no scientific inference ( even using math as one of its tools )can ever be 100%.  Another absolute..p is an irrational number so it is 100% a fact that it has no exact fractional equivalent, nor will it be a repeating sequence   100%

  7. Well, look at reactions in nature. There are not 100% efficient at transfering the reaction N2(g) + 3H2(g) <---> 2NH3(g) completely to ammonia. Some energy as heat is lost and other reactions are competing with this process forming other products besides ammonia so not 100% ammonia is made. You could look at something for its face value (i.e. you are 100% sure that nitrogen is taking place in this process). The sun is 100% for sure using fusion. That's chemistry

  8. In nature, there is no 100% anything from the macro to the microscopic. In man, there are plenty of 100%s, of course only if man proclaims it to be. I'm being philosophical.
