  1. Why or what should the government do? The utilities will be cut off after a certain amount of time, if you do not pay the bill. The government is not responsible for paying your bills.

  2. You can help yourself by getting a job. If you have a job you will have money. (not that much) but you will still have something to be able to pay your bills.

Don't depend on the government to take care of you. Be responsible and take care of it yourself. It's your responsibility afterall.

  3. 21 and collecting foodstamps when you could actually be working for real money?  I hope they throw you out on the street for being lazy.

  4. There are no federal programs that I'm aware of. Some cities may offer something and a few churches have assistance programs.

  5. nothing if its your own home, if its gov't housing, no you have no right. join the party.

  6. yes, call the gas company you can apply for something. I know a republican family in my neighborhood who have money yet their son was away living in a house off his college campus & he got money to pay his bill. You probably have to do the same thing you did for the food stamps.

  7. Even if you have a job, it may not meet your expences. you really need to contact your state or county to find out, they may have a program.  I know in NY, their is the HEAP program to help people pay their heating bills which are extremely hight now.   Most utility companies have a budget plan where you pay an even amount over the year.  But most of these benefits are administered on a local level, not the federal.
